Dear FPCLA,
I had a conversation with someone regarding church authority and people in the ordination process. This person made a comment saying a person in the ordination process needs to win favor of people in authority so that the people in authority can advocate for you and the ordination process can go smoothly. And I disagree.
Jesus is not super happy with the religious leaders. Many of the religious leaders represented a version of the law and instead of drawing people closer to God, the religious leaders pushed them away with all requirements of how to get closer to God.
Meditation: What do you think of my friend’s comment? Does one need to win favor to get to people in power to gain advantage?
Blessings,
Pastor Eula
