Dear FPCLA,

When I started playing instruments at a church band, I played bass guitar. Because no one is playing it and I know the basics. My fingers would blister. I remember wrapping my fingers with athletic tapes to ease the blister pain. It’s the first instrument that I started playing because I want to learn and not because my parents want me to learn it.

I wonder what Jesus’ hobbies are? Is it learning? Jesus has a thirst for knowledge. At the age of 12, Jesus stayed in the temple sitting among the teachers, listening to them, and asking them questions. Is it carpentry? Joseph was a carpenter. He probably taught Jesus and his other sons his trade. Did he do something recreational in his time?

Many people took up new hobbies such as cooking and baking, DIYs, and gardening during the pandemic. I was trying to improve my guitar playing and go back to playing bass guitar but didn’t have the time.

Meditation: What is your hobby? How are you using it?

Blessings,
Pastor Eula
