Dear FPCLA,
In the Christian Bible, music is used for various reasons: to praise God, to let our sorrows and pain be known to God, to build up and encourage one another, to heal people, etc. Music is used when one is joyful and grateful; in mourning and in sorrow. Music is used to proclaim God’s steadfast love and justice.
This Sunday, let us worship through music. Listen to the songs’ melody, harmony, rhythm, and dynamics. Reflect and meditate on the words being sung and spoken. Appreciate the different languages. Learn new songs.
Let us sing and make melody with our hearts.
