FPCLA Worship October 2, 2022

four community hands interlocked

Dear FPCLA,

How’s everyone doing? It seems like long time ago since I last emailed.

Our Jewish siblings celebrated Rosh Hashanah from September 25, 2022 to September 27, 2022. Rosh Hashanah is the Jewish New Year or head of the year or first of the year based on the Hebrew Calendar.

The celebration reminds me that there are different calendars in the world. Calendars evolve just like belief system.

Sermon: A Queer Kinship in Eden: An AroAce Perspective of the Creation Story
Scripture: Genesis 1:26-28 The Message Translation

26-28 God spoke: “Let us make human beings in our image, make them
    reflecting our nature
So they can be responsible for the fish in the sea,
the birds in the air, the cattle,
And, yes, Earth itself,
and every animal that moves on the face of Earth.”
God created human beings;
    he created them godlike,
Reflecting God’s nature.
He created them male and female.
God blessed them:
“Prosper! Reproduce! Fill Earth! Take charge!
Be responsible for fish in the sea and birds in the air,
for every living thing that moves on the face of Earth.”
