Dear FPCLA,
I like reading quotes of inspiration especially in the morning to start my day. I read one from Malala Yousafzai that made me think of Jesus and his journey: “When the whole world is silent, even one voice becomes powerful.” Malala Yousafzai is the youngest person to win the Nobel Peace Price. She was shot fighting for the right of girls to be education in Pakistan.
Her quote made me ponder the voice of Jesus and his ministry and sacrifice for others. More often religions have co-opted the voices of prophets and messiah figures for their own benefit like nationalism, slavery, killing of the Jewish people, wars, etc. Yet for those who want to bring equality, justice, and love, more often than not, they are killed.
